Fler gymnasieelever kan bli av med studiebidraget.

Sedan 2003 ska skolorna rapportera skolkare när de varit borta 20 procent av tiden under en studieperiod.

Nu stramas reglerna åt och gränsen tas bort.

Från årsskiftet ska gymnasieskolorna skolkrapportera sina elever till CSN när den olovliga frånvaron är ”mer än några timmar” och sker vid upprepade tillfällen.

– Vi är beredda på att det kan komma ett ökat antal rapporter till oss, säger Christina Gellerbrant Hagberg, generaldirektör på CSN.

Skolorna ska bedöma

Hon tror inte att det kommer att bli ett problem att gymnasieskolorna själva ska göra gränsdragningen när riktlinjerna blir mer öppna.

– Skolan ska göra bedömningen om det inte bara handlar om ett tillfälligt beteende utan ett upprepat agerande. Det är skolorna som har bäst förutsättningar att göra bedömningen. Poängen är att man ska se till individen. Det är upp till skolan att agera tidigt, säger Christina Gellerbrant Hagberg.

Skolkare ska fångas upp tidigt

Hon hoppas att de nya reglerna leder till att skolkande elever fångas upp tidigt något som i längden kan leda till ett ändrat beteende hos dem.

Hur ska eleverna veta var gränsen går?

– Jag är övertygad om att elever har den dialogen med sina lärare och skolan. Det är i den miljön man får ta den dialogen, säger Christina Gellerbrant Hagberg.

Anledningen till att 20 procents-gränsen snart skrotas är ett avgörande i Överklagandenämnden för studiestöd (ÖKS) från i somras. Gränsen fick kritik och enligt avgörandet bör det inte finnas någon gräns över huvud taget.

Förra läsåret fick 16 200 elever på landets gymnasieskolor studiebidraget indraget på grund av skolk.

Skolkrapportering

Det här händer när skolan rapporterar en elev som skolkar till CSN:

CSN får in en rapport från skolan om att en elev skolkar.

CSN skickar ett brev till eleven eller vårdnadshavare och meddelar de uppgifter vi fått från skolan

Eleven eller vårdnadshavaren har sex dagar på sig att komma med synpunkter om de inte tycker att skolans uppgifter stämmer.

CSN fattar ett beslut och stoppar utbetalningen.

Om eleven kommer tillbaka till heltidsstudier, drar vi de eventuellt felaktiga utbetalningar som gått ut från de kommande utbetalningarna.
Om eleven inte kommer tillbaka till heltidsstudier återkräver vi de pengar som gått ut felaktigt. Då behöver skolan skicka in ett underlag som styrker den otillåtna frånvaron.

A number of Nations disintegrated into anarchy and civil war as all out conflict broke out between various Nations. International corporate powers emerged with in different countries, demanding controls and powers from spineless government officials and a bad situation simply got worse. Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War spread as if the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse had actually been released from the Gates of Hell.

Onto this stage of conflict and chaos there emerged a growing need for Mercenary Units and Paramilitary Command Units who could execute orders and carry out fast assignments for governments and corporations, allowing the employers plausible deniability as well as the ability to say that they were in no way involved with certain “Black Operations” and “Pirate Like Undertakings”. The new age of the Mercenary had dawned and with it, ruthless Men and Women took on combat and bloody warfare for assets, money, and power. Units and Unions were formed and broken as Clan like structures and Shadow Organizations emerged to be major players in the events that played out on the Global Stage. In War Inc. Battle Zone you are a member of one of these Units. Can you survive? Can you win? Can you take your game to the top?

Tired of combat in just corridors and mazes? Then War Inc. Battle Zone is what you need! There will be several maps available to all players for free at the launch of the game. Sizes will range from a smaller 8 player maps that will keep you close and in contact with your enemy up to huge open world maps for up to 64 players in one game. The map spawn points will be scaled according to the maximum number of players selected for a given game, making sure that you’ll always be close to action.

War Inc. Battle Zone will have 3 game modes available at launch. These modes are: Conquest, Siege, & Team Deathmatch.

Conquest mode puts the player into a team vs. team combat for control of all Strategic points on the level.. When a player is killed they re-spawn at their original spawn point and must move to rejoin their team in the combat zone. Multiple areas on the map need to be conquered and held for a period of time by each team. Once a team has held all areas at least once and have a majority of areas under their control they win the game. This game has no set time limit.

Siege mode has one team of players defending a specific number of objectives while the other team of players attempts to capture the objectives. The game is played on a set time scale. If the defender team can maintain control of the majority of objectives at the end of the game play time then their team wins. If the attacker team can gain control of all objectives at one time then they win. Re-spawns will place the players at the main control points at the games beginning.

Team Deathmatch mode pits players against each other in 2 Teams as they attempt to be the top killers on the field in a set period of time. Each time a player is killed they re-spawn at random locations near their team mates and set out to hunt the other team’s players. The players fight to gain the highest amount of kills in a given time frame.

Prepare the necessary – Linux environment
This has been tested under Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat.
If you need a Windows environment how-to, scroll down to the relative paragraph.

1) You need to have
- the ISO (VMware-VMvisor-Installer-4.1.0.update1-348481.x86_64.iso
- the script (mkesxiaio_3.9.6.sh)
- if you don’t have internet connection on your system, you need also inetd.conf
- eventually a customized oem.tgz. Be sure there aren’t spaces in the filename of the .tgz!!!

2) Make the mkesxiaio script executable

3) Execute the script

Prepare the necessary – Windows environment

If you have a Microsoft Windows OS, I think that the best solution is to install the latest version of VMWare Player (in the moment I’m writing is 3.1.0 build-261024) and to load a linux distibution like Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04.
You just have to create the virtual machine and then load Ubuntu from a CD or from the ISO file. We don’t need to install anything, we will limit to use the LiveCD.
If you need to transfer files to Ubuntu, you can share a Windows folder for example.
To connect to it from Ubuntu go to ”Places” – ”Connect to server…”, in ”Service Type” select ”Windows share”, and in ”Server” write the IP of your Windows PC.
If we need to copy the VMWare ISO, Ubuntu will notify us that there isn’t much free space available to copy the file.
Open ”System” – ”Administration” – ”GParted”.
Select ”Device” – ”Create partition table”. Then right click on the ”Unollacated space” and select ”New” to create a new partition (the disk space that we left to the VM when we created it). Here at leat you can change the file system type (for ex. I changed from ext2 to ext4). Then ”Edit” – ”Apply All Operations” -> ”Apply”. Now from the ”Places” menu select the disk to mount the partition and inside copy your VMWare files from the Windows share folder. You could have permissions problems, so open a Terminal and type

If you have labeled the disk, you will see the label instead of the device UUID.

Custom oem.tgz

To obtain an oem.tgz you have 2 choices:

Method 1: use an already provided one

Use any of the oem.tgz created by forum users and provided here for ESXi 4.x or here for ESXi 3.5

Method 2: driver and PCI ID

Insert driver and device informations during the script execution. All you need to have is:
1) the driver (i.e. dmraid.o ).
Create a new folder called “custom-esx” (without quotation marks) and copy the driver inside. You must have the correct folder path. Like custom-esx/etc/file.cfg to make this work.
2) the PCI ID of your device.
To see the PCI ID, if you are in a linux environment, type

Then you are ready to follow the next paragraph.

Use customization during the script execution

If you select any of the first three options, you have to add a custom driver.
When the script asks you

Method 1: merge the oem.tgz

As pointed out by VMWare vExpert Dave.Mishchenko in this thread, if you need to customize your installation with multiple oem.tgz, you need to merge them.
In this example, I’m trying to merge driver for Realtek RTL81111 and dmraid. I have the following 2 files:
RTL8111_8168_P55_integr_SATA_Ctrl.(AHCI).oem.tgz
dmraid.zip

Extract both and copy dmraid.o to RTL8111_8168_P55_integr_SATA_Ctrl.(AHCI).oem/usr/lib/vmware/vkmod/
Now from a terminal, go into the RTL8111_8168_P55_integr_SATA_Ctrl.(AHCI).oem folder and compress :

Move oem.tgz to the folder where there is the script and the VMWare ISO
